Bruce Campbell: The Grooviest Of Hosts

Bruce Campbell: Your Hero, our host. Well, he's our hero too!

From his turn as Ash in the classic 80’s Evil Dead horror movie series, to his seven-seasons on Burn Notice, to the reprisal of his iconic character in Starz’ Ash vs. Evil Dead, Bruce Campbell has long been a fanboy favorite—and part of the behind Last Fan Standing.

And it’s easy to see why: his sharp, self-deprecating wit has made his , panels top draws for years. In fact, Bruce's 2015 Comic Con appearance in San Diego was outdrawn only by the panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

It's A Game Show Experience Everyone Gets To Play

Last Fan Standing gives the entire audience the chance to play along and qualify to be on stage—and attempt to be The Last Fan Standing.

Through provided "audience response devices" (Clickers if you insist on getting technical), each audience member participates in a series of multiple choice questions, where the players with the fastest-correct answers advance to the Podium Rounds.

The Podium Rounds bring the top four (4) players from the audience to a winner-take-all battle of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Superheroes, and Horror based trivia. After each round, the player with the lowest score is eliminated, until there is only one....Last Fan Standing!

The Who, What, Where, Why, & How

    What Is Last Fan Standing?

Hosted by Bruce Campbell, Last Fan Standing is an interactive trivia contest—where the entire audience is given the chance to test their knowledge of Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Superheros (the important stuff).

Presented as a live game show, Last Fan Standing is also a unique look inside the world of popular culture through the eyes of Bruce Campbell and his iconic 40+year career as an actor, writer, producer, director, and fan-boy/fan-girl favorite.

Staged as a turnkey-event that energizes audiences, Last Fan Standing is filled with personal stories and behind-the-scenes insights that is a unique blend of "an evening with Bruce Campbell" wrapped inside an interactive trivia contest.

What Is Required To Stage The Show?

Last Fan Standing is a turnkey event that can be staged in a variety of venues and spaces, typically lasting 90-100 minutes.

We have designed the show to be as "plug & play" as possible, and we bring everything to play the game including podiums (with built-in microphones), audience response clickers, original content, and a great host.

We do need some on-site assistance with sound, a stage, projection/screen, and of course the audience. The important factors that make for a great show include a space where the audience can easily see and hear the host and that the questions we project to play the game.

Our team needs about 2 hours to set up the show—which includes time to integrate our video and sound elements with the on-site projector and sound systems. Typical strike time is less than 45 minutes.

Why Last Fan Standing Makes Sense

    1. Last Fan Standing celebrates the things fans are passionate about and gives them a chance to have a meaningful and interactive experience beyond a photo or an autograph. It is relevant, topical, and highly entertaining and up to 1000 people can play at a time!

    2. Last Fan Standing is a live event, produced and staged as a "real" game show—where everyone gets the same chance to play and try to become the best "or last" of their fellow fans.

    3. Bruce Campbell. Okay, to elaborate more, Last Fan Standing really works because of the energy and effort put forth by Bruce Campbell as host and co-creator of the show.

    How To Leverage This Platform

Last Fan Standing is a unique platform that can be utilized to enhance existing event programming, drive awareness, fan engagement, sponsorship activation, and increased revenues.

Whether staged as a ticketed event, VIP experience, or as a special evening function, Last Fan Standing is a great way to add value to your event—as a cost-effective entertainment experience, hosted by fan-favorite Bruce Campbell.

Last Fan Standing can also integrate existing sponsorship or key event messaging into the show, as well as pre-show social media promotions and public relations.

What Type Of Questions Are Asked?

Last Fan Standing isn't "Jeopardy" or "$25,000 Pyramid"—it's better. We script each show to include questions about Sci-Fi Horror, Fantasy, Superheroes, and most recently Gaming—while making it not about one specific category or genre until the Final Confrontation rounds. Here are a few sample questions. Do you have what it takes?

    Question Example 1:
What planet does the Silver Surfer come from?

    Question Example 2:
What simulation is Kirk accused of cheating at in the 2009 remake of Star Trek?

    Question Example 3:
Who was Shaggas father Game of Thrones?

    Question Example 4:

Some Helpful Insights About Last Fan Standing

    broken image

    Staging The Show

Last Fan Standing can be staged in a variety of ways to maximize existing event and programming space while providing fans a uniquely awesome experience.

While most venues can work, it is of paramount importance that the audience and our host can see and clearly hear everything going on.

    broken image

    Podiums

We travel to each event with five podiums, including one (1) for our host and four (4) for on-stage contestants. The contestant podiums include a mounted microphone that easily integrates into house/on-site sound via an XLR connection inside each podium. Each podium also needs access to a standard AC power connection (1 per).

    broken image

    Projection

As "turnkey" as Last Fan Standing is, we don't travel with a projector of any kind—we are able to integrate our video elements to just about any projection device (rear or front of house) via an HDMI connection from our laptop.

    broken image

    Audience Response Devices (Clickers)

Last Fan Standing remains such a unique live event because the entire audience gets to play through providing everyone with wireless response devices (we call them clickers).

These wireless devices report the selected answers to questions through "radio-frequency" (RF) technology that does not require an internet connection. We do ask that each venue help hand-out and collect clickers before and after the show (they aren't souvenirs).

    Bruce Bucks

Bruce Bucks are given out (in 3 different denominations) to deserving fans who show a mastery of geek culture, most often when a contestant cannot answer a question on stage. While not of any "monetary" value, they do possess significant street-cred value.
